Are you connecting authentically with your audience?
My guest today on the Advanced Freelancing podcast, Juliet Peay, shares why she believes networking is about creating connections and sharing your life story rather than pitching. Discover how to make networking authentic to you and how to reach out to your peers and clients by telling your story.
You’ll learn the type of people that should be in your network, how to reach out to them (so they will respond), and how to ask for support that will expand your skills and answer your questions. Juliet Peay fought her way to copywriting with grit and a great network. After stumbling around admin roles in corporate America, she decided to show the world she could write with a blog about her hometown Greenville, SC. What started as a creative outlet became the first step towards owning her own copywriting business. But she didn’t figure it out on her own. She asked a lot of people a lot of questions, and that’s how authentic networking became her path to completely changing industries and now getting clients, too.
