Brooke Boutwell has been educating and motivating adolescent English language learners to embrace their multilingualism for 5 years. She is currently an English as a Second language specialist at the middle school level in Virginia Beach. Her passion for ESL derives from her experiences living abroad and learning German in Vienna, Austria and Spanish in Barcelona, Spain. She has a passion for teaching, training, and connecting with students and educators to support quality instruction within culturally and linguistically diverse classroom settings. Brooke serves on the board of directors for the Virginia Association of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages as the K-12 Special Interest Group leader. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages and Spanish, a Masters degree in Bilingual Curriculum and Instruction, and is a Doctoral Candidate studying Education Law and Language Policy.

Laura’s books, courses, and coaching have reached over 11,000 people.
As a military spouse, Laura is passionate about serving her community and founded Operation Freelance, a nonprofit organization that teaches veterans and military spouses how to become freelancers and start their own business.
