If you’re on Upwork, you know that the client feedback you receive is extremely important, particularly if you are new to the site. Feedback is one of the main things a prospective client is going to look at when deciding whether or not to hire you. If you’ve had a bad experience with a past client, a prospective client is going to be much less likely to hire you than someone who has excellent feedback across the board.
Can I ever get negative feedback removed on Upwork?
Because of how important client feedback is, this is a common question – not just for people who are new to Upwork but also people who have been on the site a long time.
The answer is that yes, there are certain situations in which you can have your feedback removed. You cannot do it very frequently and you can only do it if you are a top-rated freelancer on Upwork. You can also elect to remove the comments from your profile and the client’s public rating if you have top-rated designation.
While you can have bad feedback removed, it’s important to use this option carefully. I recently did a test to see how the whole process worked, and in the video below I’m sharing all of my best tips on why and when you should remove feedback as well as the restrictions you need to be aware of before removing feedback.
